In a shocking incident, a 25-year-old man allegedly killed his mother after she did not wake up to cook a meal for him. The incident occurred in Maharashtra’s Dhule on May 24.
Dog entered home and ruins food
According to PTI, the accused, Awlesh, had gone to sleep in his shanty. Meanwhile, a dog entered Awlesh’s home after smelling fish food and ruined it.
When Awlesh returned late at night, he found the meal was not edible. He asked his mother, Tipabai, to cook another meal. When she did not wake up, he smashed a wooden stick on her head.
Accused was drunk during the incident
The police said Awlesh was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident. The next day, when Awlesh saw his mother in a pool of blood, he rushed her to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
The locals alerted cops, who took Awlesh into his custody.
4 killed after being run over by car in Madurai
In a separate incident, at least four people were killed, and three others of the family sustained injuries when they were run over by a speeding car at Kunjampatti near Usilampatti in Tamil Nadu’s Madurai district, police said on Sunday.
The incident happened when a car hit the family when they were crossing the road.
On May 22, at least five people lost their lives in a collision between a government bus and a private tempo van.The accident took place on Wednesday night near the Sengkippatti bridge on the Thanjavur-Tiruchirapalli national highway, as per the Thanjavur District Collector Priyanka Balasubramanian.
