Medical records indicate that Dr Shivkumar Santpure led his Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital team at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar in Maharashtra to their success. The Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has achieved a special recognition for their medical work. Doctor Shivkumar Santpure along with his team members from this hospital achieved the Asia Book of Records by performing knee transplant procedures on 42 patients within 13.5 hours.

The Asia Book of Records added this milestone because of their teamwork along with their dedicated work. The title belonged to a Delhi hospital until Maharashtra established a new historic milestone by surpassing it.

Hospital Fortis under Doctor Rajgopal in Delhi had previously achieved 33 knee transplants within 24 hours yet doctors at Sambhajinagar surpassed this achievement. The hospital received ongoing support from Asia Book Record Coordinator Rekha Singh who spent her day recording this achievement at the hospital.

Dr Shivkumar Santpure declared that this achievement resulted from team effort among the hospital staff. The operation schedule ran from morning seven to evening nine while all medical procedures ensured maximum patient care. This mark in medical history has elevated Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital to new heights in the medical industry. The hospital along with Maharashtra can take great pride in achieving this medical milestone, as per media reports.
