Maharashtra had polling on all 288 constituencies on single day. Mahayuti gets majority of seats in Maharashtra election. Mahayuti is set to return in power. They defeated Maha Vikas Aghadi with a huge margin.
As the result is clear, now the Mahayuti alliance is set to form the government in Maharashtra. The face for the CM post is not announced yet. As per reports, Eknath Shinde, NCP Chief Ajit Pawar and Devendra Fadnavis will be leaving for Delhi on Sunday. The name for CM post will be announced after the meeting with BJP high command.
As per media reports, the oath taking ceremony is likely to be held tomorrow that is November 26, 2024.
As reported by Dainik Bhaskar, the method of one CM and Deputy CM’s have been decided of now.
Mahayuti won 230 seats which includes- BJP’s 132 seats, Eknath Shinde-Shiv Sena’s 57 seats and NCP-Ajit Pawar’s 41 seats. On the other end Maha Vikas Aghadi is lost as they failed to get the majority in the election. MVA got only 46 seats which include- Shiv Sena (UBT) with 20 seats, Congress with 16 seats and NCP-Sharad Pawar with 10 seats.
Now Maharashtra has got its winner as Mahayuti. They had emerged in this election by winning with a huge margin.
NCP leader Praful Patel said that, “I am not aware of any program related to the Oath-taking ceremony of the CM…The decision regarding this will be made in a meeting of all three parties (Shiv Sena, NCP, and BJP)”

Eknath Shinde wins from Kopri-Pachpakkhadi constituency. He got 159060 and defeated Shiv Sena (UBT) candidate Kedar Prakash Dighe with a margin of 120717. Also, BJP’s Devendra Fadnavis won the Nagpur South West seat. He defeated Congress’s Prafulla Vinodrao Gudadhe.
Devendra Fadnavis said that, “”I went to Varsha Bungalow (Chief Minister’s residence) in the afternoon and felicitated CM Eknath Shinde. The leaders of the three parties (BJP, Shiv Sena, NCP) will decide who will become the Chief Minister”
