Maharashtra : A senior leader of Maharashtra state Congress Balasaheb Thorat resigned from the post of Legislature Party leader on Tuesday. In his resignation, he said that he could not work with the state party leadership. In his letter to Indian national Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, Thorat also complained about Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole.

Balasaheb Thorat had accused Congress state president Nana Patole of conspiring against him. According to media reports, Thorat had written to the central leadership. He expressed his inability to work with Nana Patole. He had said that he was not being consulted before taking any decisions pertaining to the party in Maharashtra.

What is the whole matter of resentment
Let us tell you that recently MLC Sudhir Tambe who is brother-in-law of Thorat. He refused to contest Nashik graduate constituency despite being the official candidate of Congress. His son Satyajit Tambe contested the election as an independent candidate. Satyajit Tambe had won the results declared on February 2.
