Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched Bharatiya Janata Party’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ on Sunday ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections 2024. Among the notable party leaders present at the manifesto launch were Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, state BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, BJP President Ashish Shelar, and Union Minister Piyush Goyal.
Speaking at the event, Shah said, “We are contesting against Maha Vikas Aghadi as their schemes are formed in the greed of power. It is appeasement and an insult to ideologies.”
The BJP has unveiled a set of promises which aims to improve Maharashtra’s citizens’ lives. According to the manifesto, 25 lakh jobs would be provided to the youths within the next five years, under Ladki Bahin Yojna, the allowance would be increased from Rs 1,500 to Rs 2,100, and loan waivers for farmers would also be given.

Key Highlights Of The Proposal
Lakhpati Didi Scheme: The “Lakhpati Didi” scheme will benefit 50 lakh women instead of the current 11 lakh as BJP plans to extend the scheme.
GSR Refund On Fertilizers For Farmers: GST paid on fertilizers will be refunded. This will help ease the financial strain on farmers.
Zero-Interest Loans: An interest-free loan of up to Rs 25 lakhs will be given.
Increased Pension: To provide better financial support, the pension amount for senior citizens will be increased to Rs 2,100 from the present amount of Rs 1,500.
Loan Waiver To Farmers: The loan waiver will reduce their debts and help increase growth in agriculture.
Bavantar Yojna: This scheme will ensure fair prices for the crops that are sold below the MSP.
Meanwhile, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis described the manifesto as a blueprint for Maharashtra’s progress and reiterated that the party’s vision is building a ‘Viksit Maharashtra for Viksit Bharat.’
As the elections for the 288 assembly seats approaches, the political battle between the two major alliances, the Mahayuti and the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) has intensified. Maharashtra polls are scheduled for November 20 and counting will be held on November 23.
