As the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024 take place, many restaurants and eateries in Mumbai have reportedly come up with up to 20% discounts on November 20 and 21, in a bid to encourage voters. It is believed they are doing so to increase voter turnout in Mumbai, which has traditionally seen lower participation in both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections earlier.
How To Avail The ‘Democracy Discount’ In Mumbai?
According to the National Restaurant Association of India, Mumbai Voters can avail of the ‘Democracy Discount’ by showing their voter ID cards along with an inked finger. The discount will be available only for dine-in customers only at the mentioned restaurants.
