Maha Kumbh 2025: Why Did Steve Jobs’ Wife Miss Holy Dip At Sangam?

The Maha Kumbh fair began on January 13, 2025 and will conclude on February 26, 2025 on the auspicious day of Maha Shivaratri.

The biggest religious fair of the country, “Maha Kumbh” has started in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj. The fair began on January 13, 2025, and will conclude on February 26, 2025 on the auspicious day of Maha Shivaratri. Steve Jobs’ wife, Laurene Powell was expected to take dip on first day of the ‘Amrit Snan’. However, she couldn’t as she was reported to be suffering from some allergies.

Saints from different corners of the country are reaching in the Sangam city. Not only Saints, but big personalities are visiting Prayagraj to attend the fair. Laurene Powell, wife of the late Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, is also one of the attendees at Maha Kumbh Mela.

Speaking to ANI, Spiritual leader Swami Kailashanand Giri said, “She will participate in the ritual of taking a dip (at the Sangam). She is resting in my ‘shivir’.”

He further mentioned that, “However, she has some allergies. She has never been to such a crowded place. She is quite simple. She stayed with us during the pooja. Our tradition is such that those who have never seen it – they all want to join.”

Earlier, Speaking to ANI, Spiritual Guru Swami Kailashanand Maharaj mentioned that, “We have named her Kamla and she is like a daughter to us. This is the second time she is coming to India. Everyone is welcome in Kumbh.”
