Maha Kumbh 2025: PM Modi Takes Holy Dip At Triveni Sangam, CM Yogi Joins Him

Around 11 AM, the Prime Minister took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam while offering prayers to Maa Ganga. He took a boat from Arail Ghat to the Sangam to pay a brief visit there.

Maha Kumbh 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, visited Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. Around 11 AM, the Prime Minister took a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam while offering prayers to Maa Ganga. PM Modi arrived by boat from Arail Ghat to the Sangam alongside Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The event unfolded simultaneously at a time when Delhi went to the polls.

After taking a dip, PM Modi in an X post said, “Today, I got the great fortune of performing Puja-Archana after bathing in the holy Sangam at Prayagraj Maha Kumbh. I got immense peace and satisfaction from the blessings of Maa Ganga. I prayed to her for the happiness, prosperity, health, and well-being of all the countrymen. Har-Har Gange!”

A statement released earlier by the Prime Minister’s office read, “In line with his commitment to support and preserve India’s spiritual and cultural heritage, the Prime Minister has steadily taken proactive measures to enhance infrastructure and facilities at pilgrimage sites.” The Maha Kumbh, which commenced on the occasion of Paush Purnima on January 13, will continue until Mahashivratri on February 26, 2025.

Security has been tightened across Prayagraj to ensure a smooth experience for devotees, saints, etc.
According to reports, over 375 million devotees have taken a dip at the Sangam so far. Union Minister Kiren Rijiju also took a dip in Sangam today and urged people to “follow the guidelines as the total number of people coming to Maha Kumbh is unprecedented and unimaginable.”
