Prayagraj is all set for the country’s biggest fair, “Maha Kumbh.” The Uttar Pradesh government and administration have made several arrangements for devotees visiting the fair.
Not only this but devotees who will be visiting from far away can take advantage of the special trains running for this Maha Kumbh fair. The fair will start on January 13, 2025, and end on February 26, 2025.
A large number of people are expected to visit the fair. To ensure the smooth running of the fair there are some special trains made for this purpose.
The Indian Railways has made arrangements for 13,000 trains for these 50 days. This involves an extra service before and after the fair. This includes 10,000 regular trains and 3,000 special trains.
Under this around 700 special trains will cover the long-distance route and around 1,800 trains will cover the short distance.
From Bengaluru To Prayagraj
The South Western Railways has introduced special trains running one way for the Maha Kumbh Fair. During this the train will cross and stop on the following places Bangarapet, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Perambur, Gudur, Vijayawada, Warangal, Balharshah, Chandrapur, Sevagram, Nagpur, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Satna, and Manikpur.
The train will have 20 buggies. Under this 14 coaches will be the general one and 4 coaches for the sleeper and 2 coaches for the luggage cum brake vans.
Himachal Pradesh To Prayagraj
Special trains will be running from Una in Himachal Pradesh to Prayagraj. The service will begin from January 17, 2025. The train will leave from Una at 10:05 pm and will reach Phaphamau in Prayagraj on the next day early morning at 6:00 pm. The special train will give general, AC, and sleeper coaches.
