As the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 unfolds, Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar has assured that extensive security measures are in place, particularly for the auspicious day of Mauni Amavasya.

The Maha Kumbh Mela, one of the largest religious gatherings in the world, is currently taking place in Prayagraj, India. Special Features Of Security

To further bolster security measures, several innovative technologies have been introduced:

Underwater Drones: These drones will monitor activities beneath the water at Sangam, ensuring safety during the holy dip.

Tethered Drones: Deployed for aerial surveillance, these drones can switch to alert mode quickly to capture detailed images of crowd movements.

Cyber Security Initiatives: A dedicated cyber police station has been established to protect devotees from potential online scams and threats during the event.

Community Involvement and Support

In addition to high-tech solutions, community support is crucial. Local volunteers and organizations are working alongside police forces to assist pilgrims. Special provisions have been made for women’s safety with dedicated female officers ensuring a secure environment for women devotees.

As the Maha Kumbh Mela unfolds, authorities remain committed to providing a safe and spiritually enriching experience for all attendees. With comprehensive security measures in place, including advanced technology and a large presence of law enforcement personnel, the event aims to uphold its tradition while adapting to modern safety needs.
