A pregnant woman in Seoni, Madhya Pradesh, successfully delivered twins in a scenario reminiscent of the film ‘3 Idiots,’ thanks to the remote guidance of a doctor. On Tuesday, a woman from Jorawadi village went into labor, prompting her family to call for an ambulance. However, continuous rainfall had caused the village’s nearby stream to flood, preventing the ambulance from reaching her.

The urgent situation was reported to Dr. Manisha Sirsam at the government hospital. Dr. Sirsam promptly coordinated with an ASHA worker to contact the village’s trained midwife, Reshna Vanshkar, and sent her to the woman’s home. Over the phone, Dr. Sirsam guided the midwife through the delivery process, ensuring a safe childbirth.
