Madhya Pradesh:A group of seven thieves stole gold and silver jewelry worth over Rs 22 lakhs from a businessman’s house in the upscale area of Sausar in Pandhurna district in Madhya Pradesh. The robbery occurred around 3:30 AM on Saturday, and the businessman and his family was left unhurt.
According to reports, seven masked men broke into the house of a cotton merchant by cutting through the kitchen grill. The victims, Rajendra Sanwal and his wife, were taken hostage as the robbers stole 20 tolas of gold, one kilogram of silver jewelry, and Rs. 25,000 in cash.
The couple stated that the thieves woke them up as soon as they entered the house, took their mobile phones, and tied them up with ropes, demanding the keys to the locker. Fearing for their safety, the wife pleaded with the robbers not to harm them and handed over the keys.
CCTV footage showed six masked men escaping on two bikes parked nearby, while one stayed behind. Police suspect that the remaining man might be a local resident.

Rajendra’s wife, Kalpana, expressed gratitude to the robbers for not harming her husband. She pleaded with them to take everything but spare his life and they follwed that.
The police suspect that the robbery was committed by the ‘Chaddi-Baniyan Gang’ from Bihar. The robbers wore vests and underwear, and the victims noted they spoke in some Bihari language.
Pandhurna ASP Neeraj Soni, SDOP DVS Nagar, and other police officials are currently investigating the case. Additional police officer Neeraj Soni mentioned that a forensic team from Chhindwara has been called in to examine the crime scene. CCTV footage is being reviewed, and multiple teams have been formed to track down the robbers.
