Madhya Pradesh: Man Apprehended For Pushing Wife Into Well, Demanding Dowry

A man has been apprehended for the alleged act of pushing his wife into a well and recording a video that he subsequently sent to her parents.

A man has been apprehended for the alleged act of pushing his wife into a well and recording a video that he subsequently sent to her parents, all while demanding dowry, in Madhya Pradesh’s Neemuch district, said the police on Saturday.

The victim, identified as Usha Keer, originally from Pratapgarh district in Rajasthan, had been married to Rakesh Keer for approximately three years. Throughout their marriage, Rakesh and his parents had persistently subjected her to dowry-related harassment and reportedly physically abused her, as detailed by Police Sub-Inspector Aslam Khan.
