In Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, a shocking incident has come to light: a family cremated their daughter-in-law 52 days ago, only for her to be found alive in Noida recently. This discovery has left the family astounded. Simultaneously, the woman’s family had filed a case against her in-laws. It was revealed that funds under the Ladli Bahna Yojana were withdrawn using her husband’s linked mobile number. The truth unfolded when the withdrawal occurred in Mathura.

It has been reported that approximately one and a half months ago, the Mehgaon police station discovered the partially submerged body of a woman near Madhrouli village. Her family positively identified the body. Allegations were made by the woman’s maternal relatives against her in-laws for her murder. The police subsequently filed a case under Section 302 and initiated an investigation into the incident.

Subsequently, in accordance with protocol, the woman’s funeral rites were conducted. Both the bride’s and groom’s families had believed she had passed away. However, a few days ago, a message appeared on the woman’s husband’s phone, surprising him. He promptly alerted the police about this development.

Reports indicate that the woman, previously cremated as deceased, had her account in Mathura used for withdrawing funds from the Ladli Sister Scheme via fingerprint. When the withdrawal notification arrived, she had forgotten that her husband’s mobile number was linked to the account. Upon receiving the withdrawal message, he promptly informed the police, providing full details. Subsequently, a police team was dispatched to Mathura. Following inquiries and CCTV footage review, it was confirmed that the woman was alive.

Despite extracting the woman’s photo and questioning locals, the police found no specific leads. Undeterred, the Bhind police persisted and eventually traced the woman’s location to Noida. There, she was discovered working at a mobile packaging company, leading to her arrest by the police on June 25.

She disappeared, leaving her children behind. The police have apprehended the woman. This poses a new challenge for the Bhind (Madhya Pradesh) police to determine the identity of the woman whose final rites were conducted.
