Madhya Pradesh: Husband chops off wife’s nose over suspected cheating, son screams in horror

The husband, identified as Rakesh Bilwal, doubted his wife's character, which led him to commit the crime. A complaint was filed at the police station regarding the case, and the accused man was sent to jail.

Madhya Pradesh: In a deeply disturbing incident that took place on Tuesday (November 4, 2025), a man allegedly cut off his wife's nose, triggered by suspicion of infidelity. The incident reportedly occurred in Padawa village under Jhabua district, where the husband assaulted his 23-year-old wife, causing a serious wound to her nose.

Police Arrest Accused Husband

A complaint was filed regarding the case, following which the police arrested the accused husband. Superintendent of Police (SP) Shiv Dayal Singh told ANI, "Yesterday, a complaint was received at Ranapur police station in the district that the husband of a 23-year-old woman assaulted her and inflicted an injury on her nose (cut the nose).

Rakesh Doubted Wife's Character

The woman was immediately rushed to a hospital for medical treatment. A First Information Report (FIR) was registered after she was given an MLC (Medico-Legal Certificate). Initial investigations revealed that the husband, identified as Rakesh Bilwal, doubted the character of his wife, which led him to commit the crime.

Woman's Son Screams In Horror

According to reports, the accused went to Gujarat along with his wife for some work a few days ago. However, the couple engaged in a dispute and subsequently returned to their village. He cut off her nose there in rage and later took her to the hospital.

"When we were coming from Gujarat, I asked him (husband) to get a divorce, then he asked to get home and said he would discuss it with my family. But as soon as we reached home, he started beating me with a stick and then cut my nose with a blade. After that, he also took me to the hospital. My son kept shouting, but he (husband) didn't leave me," the victim was quoted as saying.
