Madhya Pradesh: In a shocking incident that occurred in Bhopal’s Panchsheel Nagar, a 19-year-old girl was found dead in her room with a deep cut to her throat on Tuesday morning. The accused, Mubeen Khan (20), had left a shaving blade at the scene to mislead investigators. However, the TT Nagar Police claimed to have successfully solved the blind murder case within 24 hours.
The accused has been identified as the victim’s boyfriend. He was arrested and produced before the court and later sent to jail. According to the officials, Khan has confessed to the crime, and based on his revelation, the knife used to slit the deceased’s throat was also recovered.
On the other hand, the body of the victim was handed over to the family after the post-mortem examination. According to media reports, DCP (Zone-1) Shashank had formed a special team under TT Nagar SHO Gaurav Singh to track down the accused.
Preliminary investigations revealed that Mubeen, who was a tailor by profession, had befriended the girl a few months ago. The two soon developed feelings for each other. However, the girl’s family arranged her engagement with another man. The wedding was scheduled to take place in October.
Mubeen was upset over the news and forced the victim to call off the engagement. When the girl refused to do so, he managed to enter her room and slit her throat before fleeing the spot.
