Madhya Pradesh- Gas Leak At Oil Company In Pithampur, 3 Dead

A major accident occurred in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday evening due to a gas leak at an oil company in Pithampur near Indore. Three people have died so far, and the death toll is expected to rise. The gas leak happened suddenly while employees were working at the plant. The victims were three employees working at the site. The incident has left several injured who have been admitted to Hospital in Indore. The deceased have been identified as Sunil, Deepak and Jagdish.

The gas leak occurred at Shri Oil Company in Pithampur on Sunday night at around 8:30 PM. According to the company manager, the gas began leaking suddenly while employees were working. Three workers were affected initially. Two other employees who attempted to rescue them were also exposed to the gas. All the affected employees have been admitted to the hospital.

What Did Police Say?

On the incident, the Additional SP of the area, Vijay Dawar, said that a police team has been sent to the factory. It is being ascertained whether there is adequate security for the employees and what the condition of the employee was when he entered the tank. He added that if any negligence is found, an appropriate action will be taken against the company.
