Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed his emotional farewell before the swearing-in of the newly designated Chief Minister, Mohan Yadav. Chouhan, leaving the post after four terms, bid adieu, stating, “Ab vida, jas ki tas rakh deni chadariya (now goodbye and leave it as it is),” during his interaction with reporters in Bhopal ahead of the ceremony.
The swearing-in ceremony, set to occur at Motilal Nehru Stadium in Bhopal, will witness the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda, and other dignitaries.
Chouhan expressed confidence in the new CM’s abilities to elevate the state’s prosperity, development, and public welfare. “The new CM of the state will take oath today at 11:30 am, and I am confident that he will take the state’s growth to new heights. Many congratulations to him. Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and our national president JP Nadda are arriving here. I welcome all of them,” said Chouhan.
He emphasized the importance of a dignified oath-taking ceremony and the proper arrangements, highlighting his duty as the acting Chief Minister. Chouhan assured his support to Mohan Yadav, stating, “Under his leadership, the BJP government will continue the state’s ongoing projects, achieving new milestones in progress and development.”

The oath ceremony will include Deputy Chief Minister-designates Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda. The BJP secured a commanding victory in Madhya Pradesh’s recent elections, winning 163 out of 230 assembly seats, while the Congress secured 66 seats.
