Lucknow Horror: Man Kills Wife Over Illicit Affair Suspicions, Stages Murder As Accident

A 35-year-old man, Tilakram, brutally murdered his wife Malti in Lucknow's Nagram area, driven by suspicions of her having an illicit relationship with a family member.

A man allegedly killed his wife with the help of his nephew and a friend over the suspicion of illicit affairs in Lucknow, police said, adding that to disappear the evidence, the suspect staged the murder as an accident.

Police said the man has accused his wife of having an affair and killed her. Following this, police arrested three suspects. On May 20, police received information that a woman had died in a road accident in the Mohanlalganj area in Lucknow.

On getting information, a team of police reached the spot and rushed the woman to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead. Police said that the accident seems suspicious, as there were no superficial injuries on the body of the woman. She sustained a deep injury to her stomach.

Following the suspicion, the woman’s husband, Mohammad Asif, was detained for interrogation. During the investigation, Asif confessed to the murder.
