Commotion, chaos and distress spread in the Prem Nagar area of Krishna Nagar, Lucknow, when a gunshot was heard from a house. According to reports, 12-year-old Shiva and his cousin Divya were playing at home when the former picked up a loaded rifle in between the game. Despite Divya's urging to put it down, Shiva refused. In the ensuing struggle, the rifle accidentally fired when Shiva's finger touched the trigger, hitting him in the stomach. After the gunshot, the family rushed to the room where the brothers were playing. They were shocked to find Shiva lying on the floor, bleeding. The family quickly took Shiva to Lokbandhu Hospital nearby, where he received initial treatment before being referred to KGMU Hospital.
