A massive fire killed five people, including a seven-month-old child, in a house in Behta Hajipur village in the Loni border area of Ghaziabad district last night, according to the police.
Dinesh Kumar P, the Additional Police Commissioner of Ghaziabad, stated that they extinguished the fire and transported two injured individuals, including a woman and a child, to a hospital.
He provided details about the fire, saying, “Late on June 12, we were informed that a fire had broken out in a house in the Loni area, trapping people inside. After getting the information, the police and fire brigade quickly arrived at the scene.”
Dinesh P provided more details about the tragic incident, saying, “A woman and a child were injured and have been taken to the hospital. The fire spread from the ground floor to the upper floors, trapping people on the first and second floors. Five people, including children, adults, and elderly, lost their lives. Among the deceased are a seven-year-old girl and a seven-month-old baby. The injured are currently receiving treatment.”
The Additional Police Commissioner stated that the cause of the fire would be investigated further to determine its origin. Some witnesses mentioned there were foam cubes in the house, which might have contributed to the fire spreading quickly. However, the exact cause will be determined after a thorough inquiry in the morning.
