To battle Tuberculosis (TB) the member of Parliaments will organise a cricket match to increase the awareness towards the elimination of the fatal disease. Former union minister and MP from Hamirpur Anurag Thakur, Himachal Pradesh met Lok Sabha speaker Om Birla along with his delegation. The delegation consisted of MPs including Ravi Kishan, Arun Govil, Nishikant Dubey and others. Birla will be the chief guest of the event.

Om Birla gracefully accepted the invitation of the Member of Parliaments after meeting the delegation. Birla has agreed to attend the match which is set to be played at the Major Dhyanchand National Stadium near India Gate on December 15. The match will begin from 09:00 AM IST (Indian Standard Time) on Sunday. It will be a 20-over affair wherein the match will be broadcasted on the Sansad TV and Doordarshan National channel. The contest has been named as TB Mukt Bharat Awareness Cricket Match. Anurag Thakur has been named as the skipper of the Lok Sabha Speaker XI whereas Kiren Rijiju will be leading the Rajya Sabha Chairman XI team.
