While reacting to the development, Asaduddin Owaisi, leader of AIMIM and rival candidate against BJP’s Madhavi Latha in the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat, expressed strong disapproval of Latha’s actions in a video that has stirred controversy.
Owaisi accused the BJP and RSS of provoking tensions and attempting to disrupt the peace in Hyderabad, urging local voters to consider this when casting their ballots. He questioned whether these actions align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s slogan of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’.
AIMIM spokesperson Waris Pathan also condemned the video, asserting that it was an attempt by the BJP to create a communal atmosphere in the country. He criticized the Election Commission for inaction and called Latha’s gesture towards a mosque unacceptable.
