Ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls 2024, the BJP on Sunday announced its fifth list of candidates. The major candidate to which the party has facilitated the ticket is actor Kangana Ranaut. She will contest the elections from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
Additionally, several other big names including Dharmendra Pradhan, Arun Govil, Ravi Shankar Prasad, and others were also featured in the list.

The saffron party has nominated Kangana Ranaut from Mandi, alongside other candidates such as Arun Govil from Meerut, K Surendran from Wayanad, Arjun Singh from Barrackpur, Rekha Patra from Basirhat, and newly joined Naveen Jindal from Kurukshetra.

Sita Soren, who recently joined the BJP, will also contest from Dumka. Maneka Gandhi will stand from Sultanpur, while Agnimitra Paul will run from Mednipur.

However, the party has decided not to field Union Minister Ashwini Choubey from Buxar, Varun Gandhi from Philibhit, Rajvir Singh Diler from Hathras, Satyadev Pachauri from Kanpur, Sanghmitra Maurya from Badayun, Rajendra Agarwal from Meerut, Santosh Gangwar from Bareli, and VK Singh from Ghaziabad among others.
In its third list, BJP has nominated Union Minister L Murugan from Nilgiris, Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai from Coimbatore, and former Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan from Kanyakumari.

Other candidates include Vinoj P Selvam from Chennai Central, A C Shanmugam from Vellore, C Narasimhan from Krishnagiri, and Nainar Nagendran from Tirunelveli, as announced by the party.
Polling for the state’s 39 Lok Sabha seats is scheduled for the first phase on April 19. It’s worth noting that BJP did not secure any seats from Tamil Nadu in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
