New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday opened his speech in the Parliament in a response to no-confidence motion tabled against his government by the Opposition.

Since the commencement of Parliament monsoon session that will have a total of 17 sittings, both the houses were hanging in balance between the Opposition and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

The Opposition have been demanding PM Modi to issue statement over the Manipur violence and the horrifying video that showed two naked women being paraded by thousands of men that sent shockwaves through the the nation.

The debate also revolved around the government’s handling of Manipur’s unrest, making it a focal point of the no-confidence motion discussions.

• Congress has not been in the power for decades in several parts of the nation like Tamil Nadu, Tripura, West Bengal, Odisha and Uttra Pradesh. People are saying “No-Confidence” to Congress.
