A truck flipped over into a pit at the city post office in the Budwar Peth area of Pune after part of the ground collapsed. The truck, owned by the Pune municipal corporation, was there for drainage cleaning. The driver was not injured because he was able to jump out before it fell. Efforts are currently being made to lift the truck out.

The CBI has filed for sanction to prosecute former Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav in the land-for-job case, with the Ministry of Home Affairs granting approval. Sanctions for over 30 other accused are still pending, and the CBI has requested 15 more days to secure them.
