Atishi is set to hold a press conference soon. During a legislative meeting on Tuesday, AAP MLAs elected her as their leader, paving the way for her to become the new Chief Minister of Delhi.
Atishi is expected to take the oath of office at around 4:30 pm on Tuesday after Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation.
After Atishi was elected as the leader of the Delhi AAP legislative party and the new Chief Minister, Delhi minister Kailash Gahlot stated that everyone had unanimously agreed on Atishi's name. Addressing the BJP's allegations of her being a 'dummy CM,' he remarked that it was typical of the BJP to make such claims.
