New Delhi: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Tuesday lashed out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led central government saying that “Ego has a limit.”
While being accompanied by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other top leaders of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Mamata Banerjee said, “what they think that we are their servants? Ego has a limit. We are concerned that they might change the Constitution as well as the name of the nation.”
She said they are afraid that “the BJP might change the nation’s name and keep it in their party’s. It cannot happen and if we do not understand this now then, the people will not forgive us.”
Referring to the violence-hit Manipur, CM Banerjee said that no BJP leader could take out time to meet people in the state. She alleged, “BJP leaders stand in the road and directly threatens to send NIA, ED to people’s house.”
“This government has become a government ‘of the agency, by the agency and for the agency’. They want to demolish and bulldoze the Constitution. Even they do not respect Supreme Court’s verdict. I’m shocked because I am also a leader”
The WB CM was accompanied with AAP leaders Atishi, Sanjay Singh, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and Punjab Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chaddha.
