Left Unity Sweeps JNUSU Polls 2025; Sunil Yadav, Aditi Mishra and Gopika Babu Win Key Posts

Kizhakoot Gopika Babu from the Left Unity alliance has won the Vice President post with a sweeping 2,966 votes, defeating her closest rival, Tanya Kumari (ABVP), far behind with 1,730 votes.

The Left Unity alliance has scripted a victory in the  Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) polls 2025. Sunil Yadav won the election for General Secretary, securing 1,915 votes. He defeated ABVP’s Rajeshwar Kant Dubey, who received 1,841 votes.

Aditi Mishra of Left Alliance won the President of the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union. Mishra defeated ABVP’s Vikas Patel, who secured 1447 votes.

Danish Ali won the post of Joint Secretary by securing 1991 votes. She defeated ABVP’s Anuj Damara who got 1762 votes.

Newly elected JNUSU Joint Secretary, Danish Ali said, “This is the victory of the students of the campus. This shows that they reject the politics of hate. The students of the campus will never bow down…We will raise our voice against fund cut.”
