Actually, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the slogan of 370-plus for the BJP and 400-plus for the NDA in this upcoming lok sabha elctions. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is continuously trying to corner the BJP on the issue of OBCs. He accuses the BJP of discriminating against OBCs. There is a significant population of extremely backward classes in many states of the country including Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, the BJP does not want to take any risk in the Lok Sabha elections. Therefore, by appointing Nayab Singh Saini, who comes from the OBC category, as the Chief Minister, it has worked to strengthen its OBC vote bank in many states.
