Anmol Bishnoi, the fugitive brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, was reportedly detained in California, USA, on Monday, as per media reports.
Key Player in the Bishnoi Gang Network
Anmol, who fled India last year, became a prominent figure in the Bishnoi gang’s criminal network after Lawrence Bishnoi’s arrest. He is wanted in connection with several high-profile cases in India, including:
• The murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala in 2022.
• A shooting incident outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence earlier this year.
• The recent killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique in October 2023.
Extradition Process Underway
Anmol’s detention comes weeks after the Mumbai Police Crime Branch initiated the extradition process to bring him back to India. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has also registered two cases against him, in addition to 18 other criminal cases filed across the country.

Reward for Arrest Information
The NIA had recently announced a ₹10 lakh reward for information leading to Anmol Bishnoi’s capture. His detention in California marks a significant breakthrough in efforts to dismantle the Bishnoi gang’s operations and prosecute its members.
