INS Sahyadri's ongoing operational deployment to the South China Sea and Indo-Pacific, underscores India's stature as a responsible maritime stakeholder and Preferred Security Partner. Indigenously designed, constructed, and commissioned in 2012, INS Sahyadri is the third ship of the Shivalik Class Guided Missile Stealth Frigates. The ship is a shining example of India's ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ vision and has been part of several bilateral and multilateral exercises, as well as operational deployments. The ship is based at Visakhapatnam as part of the Eastern Fleet under the aegis of the Eastern Naval Command.

Director General Military Operations Lt Gen Rajiv Ghai said, "It's in the late 80s that this problem started in Jammu and Kashmir. Since then, we've had more than 28,000 terror incidents. Since the 90s, we've had more than 100,000 people from the minorities who have been compelled to move out of Jammu and Kashmir, a migration of more than 60,000 families... 15,000 innocent civilians and more than 3000 security personnel have been killed, and it's very clear where this is coming from... It is not as if Operation Sindoor happened overnight. If you take your mind back to the attack on our parliament back in 2001, we were compelled to carry out a mobilisation on our borders. We remained there for almost a year. Yet, a wiser sense prevailed, and we didn't take matters forward. In 2016, some of our security personnel were barbarically ambushed, some of their tents were set on fire, and we then resorted to an action that was yet in the vicinity of the LoC. In 2019, we carried out a precision strike across the LoC and restricted it to that. But this time, it was the intensity and the magnitude of the events that took place..."

Hyderabad, Telangana: A 27-year-old woman, Sai Laxmi, died by suicide after killing her two-year-old twins by pressing them with a pillow. The woman jumped from the 4th floor following a dispute with her husband over their son's speech treatment. Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter. In a surprising late-night twist that stirred Bihar’s political landscape, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders who had received party symbols for the upcoming Assembly elections earlier in the evening were abruptly recalled and asked to return them.
RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, who had just returned from Delhi, arrived home to find a large group of poll ticket aspirants gathered at his residence. Some of them were called inside by the party leadership, and moments later, they emerged holding yellow envelopes — believed to contain official documents confirming their candidature.
