New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday named Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Yadav in a Chargesheet filed against an alleged land-for-job scam.
The Chargesheet was filed in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court before special judge Geetanjali Goel. CBI named a firm and several others along with Tejashwi as accused in the case.
Former Bihar’s CM and former Railways Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife Rabari Devi were also named as accused by CBI.
What is land for job scam?
Former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Yadav is accused of taking land from people in lieu of railway jobs when he was Railway Minister between 2004 and 2009.
For this, the CBI registered a case against Lalu Yadav. The CBI had filed a charge sheet in the matter last year, in which it claimed that appointments were made illegally in violation of railways’ procedure.
