Madhya Pradesh is set to receive a six-lane Greenfield Expressway. Currently, The National Highway Authority of India is doing a survey of the project.
Previously, Union Road Transport & Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari gave green signal to the initiative to connect Jabalpur with the four-lane Lakhnadon-Raipur expressway.
The new expressway will transform the city. This will bring new opportunities and boost connectivity. The route will make the journey of the commuters very comfortable. The expressway will add up in economic growth of the state.

About The Project
The length of this expressway is 300-km. It will reduce the travel time. The expressway can be covered in 5 hours. The estimated cost of the project is approximately Rs 15,000 crore.
After this expressway gets operational it will solve the traffic-related problem. It will make the journey more smoothers.
About The Connectivity
The expressway will begin from Lakhnadon and will end at Raipur. The expressway will cross Visakhapatnam. According to media reports the jouney of 8 hours will get converted into 5 hours.
About Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway
A section of the Bengaluru-Chennai expressway is open to the public. The length of the route is 71-km. Currently, the route charges zero toll fee. This section is a part of the expressway which connects Bengaluru to Chennai and vice-versa. The total length of the expressway is 260 km.
