New Delhi: During a roadshow for the Karnataka Assembly Polls, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief JP Nadda asserted that the Congress is against development in the state.
“Congress party has always put breaks to development. Now in Karnataka, where there was a consent of state government itself for the NEP… the Congress wants to put breaks to it also,” said the BJP chief.

His remarks came in response to Congress’ announced to form a State Education Policy to reject the National Education Policy (NEP), says the party in its manifesto.
Congress released its manifesto on Tuesday making several promises to youth, farmers and women including upholding the ban on an Islamisc Organisation Popular Front of India (PFI).
BJP Attacks Congress for ‘ban on Bajrang Dal’
Another major point that the BJP cornered the grand-old party for is the ban on Bajrang Dal; a youth wing of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad.
The party said Bajrang Dal will be restricted in the state for hindering peace and inciting communal disharmony. Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused the Congress of doing “appeasement politics” while advocating the side of Bajrang Dal.
Reacting to which, Prime Minister Narendra Modi Tuesday took a dig at Congress over the latter’s manifesto and said the grand-old party has “decided to lock Bajrangbali”.
PM Modi said, “Congress is sitting with a bundle of guarantees these days in Karnataka. The party that has lost the trust of common people and they can only lie in the name of guarantees. Congress guaranteed to remove poverty from the country but failed to do so. On the other hand, Congress leaders became millionaires and billionaires…”
