Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized on Thursday that the central government views the recent terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir with utmost seriousness. He vowed that those responsible for the attacks would be dealt with decisively, stating, “Koi kasar baaki nahi chodenge”

PM Modi addressed the ‘Empowering Youth, Transforming J&K’ programme held in Srinagar on Thursday, where he mentioned that Union Home Minister Amit Shah, in collaboration with the J&K administration, assessed the security situation in the Union Territory.

He also mentioned that preparations for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir have commenced, and the Union Territory will regain its statehood.

PM Modi made this statement following four terror attacks that occurred in various parts of Jammu and Kashmir in early June this year.

Since June 9, terrorists have carried out attacks in four locations across Reasi, Kathua, and Doda, resulting in the deaths of nine pilgrims, one CRPF jawan, and injuries to a civilian and at least seven security personnel.

Last week, PM Modi presided over a high-level meeting to review the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir in light of recent terror incidents. NSA Ajit Doval and other senior officials attended the meeting, which focused on evaluating the region’s current security environment.
