Kerala: Released on Parole, Man Commits Second Family Murder

A shocking murder occurred in Kerala. A man who was jailed for killing his mother 19 years ago killed his younger brother shortly after being released on parole. The police have re-arrested him. According to reports, after getting parole, he went to his younger brother's house, where a quarrel led to him beating his brother to death.

Kerala: A 64-year-old man out on parole from Kerala’s Pathanamthitta killed his younger brother in Adoor, police reported on Saturday. On Friday, Mohanan Unnithan beat his 58-year-old brother, Satish Kumar, to death.

According to the news agency, police said Unnithan was serving a life sentence for killing his mother in 2005 due to a family dispute. The police received information about the incident around 5 pm.

A police officer said “Unnithan, out on parole, went to his brother’s house and assaulted him. Unnithan fled after the incident but was arrested by Adoor police within an hour”.

A similar family incident happened recently in Kerala 

In May, a man in Ernakulam, Kerala, killed his wife because he was fed up with her illness. Police reported that in Muvattupuzha, an 85-year-old bedridden woman was killed by her husband.

The report stated that the husband became frustrated with caring for his wife and decided to kill her. The husband, Joseph (86), from Vellurkkunnam village, was arrested by police immediately after they received information about the incident.
