New Delhi: Mother of a 12-year-old girl moved a petition in the Kerala High court alleging that her daughter was used as a ‘drug carrier’ while seeking a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe in the matter.
In the plea, the mother alleged that her daughter, studying in class 8, was found intoxicated in school’s washroom, having her uniform wet, reported LiveLaw. The girl alleged that someone had made her smell white powder when she was questioned by teachers and Head Mistress. After which, she vomitted four times.
The mother alleged that the matter was never reported to the police or child helpline. However, the petitioner found out about the incident when she questioned her daughter who revealed about the entire drug racket and their threats.
The child alleged that other school girls had made her addictive to drugs who also introduced her to some outdsiders in the racket. After which, she was used as a drug trafficking.
The petitioner alleged that the police is colluded with accused Adhinan and recorded a false statement in the matter. The petition alleged that the accused touched the girl’s hand ‘indecently’.
Further in the plea, the mother alleged that Adhinan belonged to a strong political background who himself is a politician from DYFI whose father is an influential leader of IUML.
The woman claimed that her family is being witch-hunted while her daughter is facing harrassment by teachers in school for reporting the crime.
Earlier, a local media channel had aired an interview of the girl in the matter but the Chief Minister called it ‘fake’ in Legislative Assembly, alleged the petitioner.
