New Delhi: Reacting to the Centre’s move to bring an ordinance against the Supreme Court decision which stated that elected government in the national capital will have control over the bureaucracy, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that the ordinance was against the constitution and it anti-democratisation.
Addressing to media in a video message, Kejriwal said that the Central government brought the ordinance deliberately Just after Supreme Court went on Summer vacation.
“They brought ordinance hours after the Supreme Court closed for Summer Vacations, They knew if they had issued the ordinance before and had we gone to the supreme court, they could have rejected the ordinance in minutes,” said Kejriwal.
Kejriwal said we will be challenging the ordinance in Supreme Court once it resumes after vacation.
“We and they(Centre government) knew that this is an undemocratic move, We will challenge it once the apex court resumes in July and we all know what will happen to this ordinance,” said Kejriwal.
Kejriwal also slammed the centre’s move of filling review petitions against SC Judgement.
“It seems that they have brought the ordinance for 1 and half months only, then after they will take it back that is why the centre has filled the review petitions,” Delhi CM said further.
