Traveling between two of Uttar Pradesh’s most sacred cities, Kashi and Ayodhya, has long been a journey of several hours. However, with the imminent inauguration of helicopter services by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on December 17, this travel landscape is set to undergo a revolutionary change.
At present, covering the distance of approximately 181 kilometers between Kashi and Ayodhya takes around 4 hours and 13 minutes when traveling at a consistent speed of 50 kilometers per hour. This journey duration may fluctuate based on the mode of transport used, be it buses, trains, or private vehicles. But soon, thanks to the advent of the new helicopter services, this long and tiring travel time will be dramatically reduced to a mere 40 minutes.
The upcoming inauguration of the helicopter services by Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes as a significant development, especially in the wake of the impending consecration ceremony at Shri Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 22, 2024.
The introduction of these helicopter services not only shrinks travel time but also carries additional significance. It’s anticipated that these services will cater to pilgrims making their way to the consecration ceremony. Post-inauguration, pilgrims will have the opportunity to witness Shri Ram Janmbhoomi, with access being granted the day following the consecration.
During the inaugural ceremony at the temple, scheduled to take place in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on January 22, access will be limited to invited guests due to stringent security protocols. The installation of Lord Sri Rama’s idol in the temple at the ‘Abhijith Muhurta’ marks a significant milestone in this revered journey.
With the advent of these helicopter services, the once time-consuming journey between Kashi and Ayodhya will soon be transformed, not just in terms of travel duration but also in facilitating the sacred pilgrimage for devotees and visitors alike.
