This distressing incident follows Gogamedi’s prior encounters with threats, notably from Sampat Nehra of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, as he had previously alerted the Jaipur police about the looming danger.
As of now, the motive behind the incident is unclear. The police are investigating the matter in search of the criminals.
According to initial reports, four people broke into Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi’s house and opened fire. Additionally, a security personnel of Gogamedi and another person were also injured during the encounter.
This unfortunate event parallels an earlier incident this year in June, where Mohit Patel, a local Karni Sena functionary, was found deceased under mysterious circumstances with gunshot wounds in his car in Indore city, Madhya Pradesh. According to Additional Commissioner of Police Jayant Rathore, Patel’s body bore two point-blank gunshot wounds to the chest.
