Dengue cases are rising quickly across various districts of Karnataka. Chikmagalur has reported 521 cases, Mysore 496, and Haveri 481 cases so far. Dharwad has recorded 289 cases, and Chitradurga 275 cases. The Karnataka Health Department has urged people to take precautions and seek prompt medical attention if they show symptoms, due to the increasing dengue cases.

Dengue is an illness transmitted by the bite of the Aedes mosquito. It leads to high fever, headaches, and muscle and joint pain. Dengue causes a rapid drop in the body’s platelet count, requiring immediate hospitalization to prevent potential fatalities from untreated conditions. Identifying its symptoms is crucial for effective treatment of dengue.
