Karnataka: An IPS officer reportedly lost his life on Monday after the tire of his police vehicle allegedly burst and lost control near Kittane in Hassan taluk. He was en route to his first posting in Hassan district, police said. Reports suggested that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which crashed into a house and a tree along the roadside.
The officer identified as Harsh Bardhan, a 2023-batch IPS officer of the Karnataka cadre, hailed from Madhya Pradesh, reports stated. He received immediate medical attention but succumbed to severe head injuries later at the hospital. The driver Manjegowda, sustained minor injuries in the accident.
Three Dead After Bus Hits Road Divider In Tumkur
In a separate accident, at least three passengers were killed and over 20 others were injured after a private bus collided with a road divider in the Sira area of Tumkur district, Karnataka. The incident occurred around 4.30 am on Monday when the bus was returning from Goa, Police said.

The injured passengers have been admitted to a local hospital for medical treatment. Superintendent of Police (SP) Tumakuru, KV Ashok visited the accident spot along with other authorities after Kallambella police station was notified about the tragic accident. Six Dead After Bus Meets With Accident In West Bengal
In a separate incident, six people died and several others were wounded on Saturday, November 30, after a bus met with an accident in West Bengal’s Kalimpong district, police said. According to officials, the incident took place near Andheri during the afternoon. The bus was en route from Siliguri to Gangtok.
