Karnataka Horror: 15-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Gang-Raped Twice, Blackmailed Using Video; Two Arrested

A 15-year-old girl in Belagavi, Karnataka, was gang-raped by six perpetrators in December 2024.

Two suspects were arrested, and four are still on the run in connection with the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl in Karnataka’s Belagavi.

Police said the suspects even filmed the incident and blackmailed that they would circulate the video. Later, they outraged her modesty again after repeated threats.

Police said the incident of gang rape took place around six months ago. One of the suspects, who was a friend of the minor, took her to a hilly area on the outskirts of Belagavi. During the incident the girl was gang-raped, and the entire act was filmed on the phone.

Since then the suspects started to blackmail her and threatened to publish the video on the internet. Again, the act was recorded, and the threats continued. Eventually, the girl lodged a police complaint and an FIR was registered.

The police lodged an FIR under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
