New Delhi: Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and PDP president Mehbooba Mufti Sunday said Karnataka has given a “ray of hope” to the nation. She was speaking in a press conference in Bengaluru where she hailed Congress for winning the recently-held Assembly elections.
“When everyone had given up, Karnataka has given a ray of hope to entire country,” said the PDP chief, reported the news agency PTI.
Mehbooba Mufti said, “For the survival of the idea of India, Congress has the biggest responsibility as compared to the other parties.”

PDP chief Mehbooba Muft said Rahul Gandhi”s Bharat Jodo Yatra laid the foundation for Karnataka”s victory. She also said that Congress must sacrifice more, or else there are other options when she was asked regarding the grand-old party not inviting many Opposition parties for the swearing-in of senior leader Sdiddaramaiah as Karnataka Chief Minister.
Mufti attended the oath-taking ceremony on May 20 in Bengaluru.
Speaking to media person, Mehbooba Mufti shared that she will not contest election until Article 370 is restored.
