Bengaluru: After 24 new MLAs took the oath of office and secrecy as a minister in the cabinet expansion of the newly elected Congress government in Karnataka. The portfolio allocation for the ministers has also been decided.

CM Siddharamaiah to hold Finance, cabinet Affairs, Intelligence, Administrative reforms and all unallocated portfolios whereas Deputy CM Shivakumar will have Major & Medium Irrigation, Bengaluru City development.

Earlier, Senior Congress leader Siddaramaiah took oath as Chief Minister of Karnataka for the second time after Congress registered a big victory in Assembly election held on May 10. 

Kanataka State Congress Chief DK Shivakumar sworn in as Deputy CM of southern state.

In a mega oath-taking ceremony in Bengaluru’s Sree Kanteerava Stadium, along with Siddharamaih and DK Shivakumar 8 other MLAs that included Dr G. Parameshwara, K.H. Muniyappa, K.J George, M.B Patil, Satish Jarkiholi, Priyank Kharge, Ramalinga Reddy, and B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan also took oath as minister.
