Congress wins all the three assembly by-polls in Karnataka. It is in trailing state in Maharashtra but it has won all assembly by-polls seat in Karnataka. The three seats includes-Shiggaon, Sandur and Channapatna.
Congress sweeps the all assembly by-poll seats in Karnataka. Congress candidate from Shiggaon assembly by-poll has defeated the son of former Karnataka CM Basavraj Bommai, Bharath Bommai. On the other seat Sandur, Congress candidate Annapoorna defeted BJP’s Bangara Hanumantha.
Congress’s CP Yogeshwara won the Channapatna assembly by-poll seat by defeating JD(S) candidate and HD Kumaraswamy’s son Nikhil Kumaraswamy.
Karnataka deputy CM DK Shivakumar calls it a message from people. He also mentioned that, “I don’t say it is a defeat of Bharath Bommai (BJP candidate from Shiggaon), its a message from the people for what his father did.”

He reacted on party’s performance in the assembly by polls by saying, “Only two things work – development and guarantees. It is a message from the people that allegations should stop and concentration should be on work. This is the beginning and will come back to power in 2028.”
The by-poll is held in 15 states, which includes 48 assembly seats and two Lok Sabha seats.
