BJP MP Barred From Entering Bagalkot: Telangana BJP MLA T Raja Singh has been barred from entering Karnataka’s Bagalkot district for three months. The decision was taken as he is scheduled to attend the Ganesh Visarjan event in Mudhol.
On 17 September, the Karnataka government cautioned that the situation was likely to turn volatile because Singh’s talks were always inflammatory rhetoric against Muslims and because his procession would pass along a mosque.

Singh Is A Controversial Politician From Telangana
Singh is a controversial politician for the Goshamahal Constituency of Hyderabad. He is known for provocative speeches.
The official statement referred to Raja Singh as a ruffian MP who has played havoc with the communal harmony of the region through his provocative speeches. In 2010, he was arrested by the Hyderabad Police for communalizing the situation.
Further in the statement, it has added that in 2017 Singh campaigned to ensure swords are in Hindu homes while also stating that Tipu Sultan was an anti-Hindu fanatic who converted 50,000 Hindus to Islam.
Singh had been suspended by the BJP in 2022 after widespread protests across the country due to his controversial remarks against Prophet Muhammad and the party rescinded the suspension a year later.
