Karnal: Karnal Police have arrested five women for blackmailing an old man with an obscene video and demanding Rs 5 lakh. The women allegedly lured him into their home, recorded his video and demanded Rs 5 lakh in exchange for not circulating the video. The old man used to run a shop where one of those women used to shop. Reportedly, the woman asked the man to hire a girl, whom she knew, at his shop. The old man agreed and asked her to send the girl to his shop so he could assess her work.
How Did Women Trap The Old Man?
However, the woman invites the man to her house instead of sending the girl to his shop. The man accepted her invitation and went to her place. Once he arrived, the woman gave him a drink mixed with some substance which made him unconscious. While he was lying unconscious, the woman filmed an obscene video of him and later began blackmailing for Rs 5 lakh.
The amount was negotiated and reduced to Rs 1.5 lakh and the man paid Rs 30,000 following it. However, when he was paying another Rs 50,000 amount, he filed a complaint with the police.
Based on the elderly man’s complaint, three women were caught red-handed with the money and were arrested.
Two more women were arrested after these women were taken into remand. According to reports, one more woman is yet to be arrested. Police suspect that this was first such crime of the women, where they were trying to honeytrap and blackmail the old man.
Police are interrogating them further to identify other victims and recover additional money.

Sulendra Kumar, Sector 4 Chowki Incharge, confirmed the arrests and mentioned that the police would continue questioning the accused to gather more information and recover any further illicit money.
Further investigation into the matter is underway.
