Kanpur Traffic Constable Slaps Driver For Honking, Caught On Video

Authorities in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, have relieved a traffic constable of duty following the viral video showing him misbehaving with a car driver.

A video from the Sachendi area of Kanpur has surfaced, showing a traffic police constable slapping and abusing a car rider. The incident, which reportedly occurred on Wednesday, happened during a highway traffic jam. The constable’s car was positioned ahead when a driver behind him honked the horn, leading the constable to feel insulted.

As soon as the horn sounded, the traffic police officer got down from his car and directly hit the horn blower. Even if it wasn’t his fault. When the car was parked in front, he had to blow the horn. The soldier not only beat him but also abused him. A video of the soldier’s action went viral on social media.

Made The Constable Line Up

After the video went viral, the police faced embarrassment. In response, they issued a press note stating that the constable had been reassigned to desk duty. Additionally, an investigation into his actions has been initiated, with the responsibility assigned to the ACP.

The police press note stated that, in response to the viral video on social media showing the traffic policeman on duty at Kisan Nagar in the Sachendi police station area, the policeman has been reassigned to desk duty. The Assistant Police Commissioner of Traffic has been assigned to investigate the incident, and legal action will be taken based on the findings of the investigation.
